The Oakland Athletics have been “letting teams know” that Ryon Healy is available on the trade market this offseason, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.
The 25-year-old Healy, who has been used at both corner infield spots and as a designated hitter, could be shopped for badly needed relief help.
Healy slugged 25 homers with a .271/.302/.451 slash line, including an .873 OPS in 137 at-bats against left-handers, this year. Slusser suggests the A’s could slide left fielder Khris Davis into a full-time role at designated hitter if Healy is traded.
