Reports: Mariners acquire former Giants starting pitcher from Cardinals

After ending the 2015 season with the Giants, starting pitcher Mike Leake signed a five-year, $80 million deal with the Cardinals. It now looks like Leake's time St. Louis will be less than two seasons.

The Cardinals have reportedly traded the right-hander to the Seattle Mariners on Wednesdays, according to multiple national reports.

Leake, 29, is 7-12 with a 4.21 ERA this season. He will finish his career as a Cardinal with a 16-24 record and a 4.46 ERA.

The Giants acquired Leake in 2015 for Adam Duvall and Keury Mella. In nine starts Leake went 2-5 and posted a 4.
