Report: Oakland A's trade for Texas Rangers starter

The Oakland A’s bolstered their starting rotation at Monday’s MLB trade deadline by dealing for Texas Rangers left hander Mike Minor, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

Minor, 32, was regarded by some as the best available starter on the market after Cleveland’s Mike Clevinger, but he’s had a rough 2020 so far, racking up an 0-5 record and a 5.60 ERA in 35-plus innings.

Passan tweeted that the A’s gave up two players to be named later for Minor, who will be a free agent at the end of the season.
