The A’s may be looking to move out of their house, but they still want to spruce the place up while they’re here. To that end, a 17-foot statue of Oakland-born A’s Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson will be built and on display at the Oakland Coliseum by Opening Day next season.

According to reporter Steven Tavares of the East Bay Citizen, the Joint Powers Authority, the Coliseum’s governing board, approved the building of a Henderson statue.
