Rally falls short after Hahn roughed up in start

Houston's offense pounced on A's starter Jesse Hahn, scoring 10 runs in the first two innings. Behind two three-run homers, Houston scored eight in the second alone. It's the third time that the Astros have scored eight or more runs in an inning this season. Hahn was pulled after the second, giving up a career-high nine earned runs on six hits and three walks.

Josh Reddick added a solo shot to right in the sixth, his first homer against the A's since being traded by them last season. He finished the day a single shy of the cycle, going 3-for-4.
