For the first time in three years, rain postponed a game at the Coliseum, washing out the final game of the A’s series against the Astros.
A makeup date has not been announced; the teams could play a doubleheader in June or September, or there is an open date for both teams on Sept. 7 right before Houston opens a series at Oakland.
A’s manager Bob Melvin said that the team will keep the starters on turn, giving each of them an extra day of rest. Jharel Cotton will start Monday night’s game against the Rangers.
