Potential remains untapped as A’s make outfield switch

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Mark Canha has lost his job in the Major League for the moment. He has not lost sight of the player he believes he can be.

Canha and his .191 average and 33 strikeouts in 29 games were sent down so he can work on his batting issues while the A’s promoted a left-hander, Jaycob Brugman, for at least the four-game series against the Rays.

“The most frustrating part is I know how good of a player I am,” Canha said Friday, shortly after getting the word he was going down.” I see myself as a great player in this league.
