A’s outfielder Stephen Piscotty is listed in the starting lineup for Tuesday night’s game against the Astros, just two days after the death of his mother.
Gretchen Piscotty, 55, passed away in her Pleasanton home after a more than a yearlong battle with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Piscotty, whose trade from St. Louis to Oakland allowed him to spend time with his ailing mother, missed Monday night’s game and will leave the team later in the week for his mother’s funeral services.
