But what difference would it make as long as Jim can pick up the clipping on a bad day and read where he pitched a perfect game — a no-hit, no-run, no-walk win over the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday night, May 8, 1968 at the Oakland Coliseum.
It happens to few of them and it may never happen again to this young star of the Oakland Athletics.
