He’s fast, he’s strong and he’s stilled at both football and baseball - it’s no wonder that the A’s top draft pick, Oklahoma center fielder Kyler Murray, hears one comparison more than others. It’s a name that will give A’s fans palpitations.
“The big one is Rickey Henderson,” Murray said Friday at his introductory press conference at the Coliseum.
Well, Rickey - himself a prep football star - was on the brash side, too. And any comparison with a Hall of Famer is just dandy with A’s officials.
“I’ll take it,” A’s manager Bob Melvin said with a smile.
