Oakland Athletics announce positive coronavirus test in organization, delay game vs. Astros

A member of the Oakland A’s organization has tested positive for the coronavirus, the team announced Sunday morning.

The A’s final game against the Astros in Houston Sunday will be postponed, and the A’s will self-isolate in Houston Sunday night, according to a release from the organization. The A’s are scheduled to play a three-game series in Seattle starting on Tuesday.

Oakland joins the Miami Marlins, St. Louis Cardinals and New York Mets as teams who have seen games postponed for positive tests.

The A’s are the first MLB team in any western division to have games postponed due to a positive coronavirus test.
