OAKLAND -- The Coliseum can be a tough place to hit in, but not as tough as the A's are making it.
In a 4-2 loss to the Royals on Friday Oakland was, for the fifth time in eight home games, held to two or fewer runs. The A's have lost four consecutive games to start this homestand and are 1-7 in the Coliseum to begin the season.Stephen Vogt hit a solo homer and singled and scored on a Khris Davis hit, but the A's were without much to show beyond that Friday. Kansas City starter Edinson Volquez had to throw more pitches that he would have liked, 103 in six innings, but he allowed just four hits and wasn't in any serious trouble after Vogt scored in the fourth on Davis' hit.
