It appeared as though Khris Davis was done. He had been released by the Texas Rangers after a dismal showing to begin the season, his power gone. While Elvis Andrus had hardly set the world afire, the Oakland A’s had appeared to have won that trade.
When Davis came back to Oakland, there were no expectations.
