It's not every day you come across an elephant in front of the California State Capitol Building, but Sacramento locals got a unique eyeful Monday when one appeared in a crowd of green ball caps and T-shirts.
Okay, so it might not have been a real elephant — it was the Oakland A's mascot Stomper — but he had nevertheless stamped up to Sacramento to make a point: The East Bay MLB team really wants a new stadium.

As KRON reported, the Oakland A's traveled north Monday to meet with Governor Gavin Newsom about building a brand new ballpark at Howard Terminal at the Port of Oakland.
