Since moving to the west coast prior to the 1968 season, the Oakland A’s have had a great run of success. They had their first dynasty on the west coast during the early 1970s, and another successful run during the late 1980s and into the start of the 1990s. Even though they have yet to return to the World Series, success has returned to the franchise in recent years.
During that time, there have been plenty of players that were key to the A’s success. Most ended up moving on to other teams, but some returned to the place they regarded as home.
