At the end of the day, it was just one out. However, for Sergio Romo and the Oakland A’s, that could be much more.
Romo was summoned from the bullpen in the bottom of the seventh on Sunday in a difficult spot. The A’s were trailing 3-1, and the Orioles had runners on first and second. With Trey Mancini at the plate, a mistake could blow the game wide open and ruin the A’s hopes of a comeback.
