The 2021 MLB Draft will be held next July, and the Oakland A’s have the No. 25 overall pick after posting an excellent record this summer en route to winning their division. However, they’ll have to wait until the second and third rounds to make their next selections, just like all the other rich big-market clubs.
The Competitive Balance Rounds were announced this week, serving as a reminder that the A’s are no longer eligible despite being one of the most notoriously low-budget teams in the sport.
