Saturday is the first day of September, and that means rosters expand from a limit of 25 to anyone on the 40-man roster. The Oakland A’s wasted no time taking advantage of the opportunity to add some reinforcements, both for an overworked bullpen and also for a lineup that has played the last 15 straight days with five more to go before a break.
The A’s called up eight players on Saturday, in various different ways. First, the list:
