The Oakland A’s activated pitcher Kendall Graveman from the 10-day disabled list, the team announced Thursday. Graveman will start tonight’s game against the Angels. To make room on the roster, 1B/OF Matt Olson was optioned to Triple-A.
Graveman looked excellent in his first two starts of the season and even seemed to have added some velocity, but he left his third outing after just 74 pitches. Soon after, he went on the DL with a strained shoulder, though it was made clear that the injury wasn’t serious and the move was precautionary. As hoped, he only missed one start.
