CHICAGO - After his big day Thursday, Matt Olson - fresh up from Triple-A Nashville - was in the second spot in the A’s lineup again Friday.
Olson had two hits, two walks, a run and two RBIs Thursday despite traveling overnight to get to Oakland.
“That was impressive,” manager Bob Melvin said. “I asked him, ‘How ya feeling?’ and he said, ‘Does it matter? I’m in the lineup. that’s where I want to be.’ Basically no sleep, on base four times.”
