Mark Canha is hoping this third-time-is-a-charm business isn’t just a cliché but a reality.
Canha hit .105 his first go-round with the A’s this season and .214 in his second stint, each resulting in demotions to Triple-A Nashville. Neither of his big-league stays was long (29 games combined), and now he’s pushing for more permanency.
“I’m not going to put pressure on myself or say ‘you’ve got to hit this time’ or ’you’ve got to make it work this time,’ ” said Canha, who was recalled from Nashville on Wednesday. “I’m just going to enjoy myself and play baseball, have fun.
