ARLINGTON -- A's manager Bob Melvin announced Friday that left-hander Sean Manaea will return from the disabled list Monday to start against the Mariners.
Manaea was placed on the disabled list on April 30 with a left shoulder strain. His last start came on April 27 against the Angels, during which he allowed three runs over two innings.
The 25-year-old left-hander pitched four innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, throwing 72 pitches, allowing one earned run on four hits and striking out five.
"He felt great, granted it was four-plus [innings]," Melvin said.
