ARLINGTON, Texas — The first time Lou Trivino was called up to the big leagues, he arrived to Oakland thinking he can pitch up here. His second time around, he knows he can.
Trivino, 26, returns to the big leagues less than a week after a crazy 24 hours in the big leagues that saw him make two appearances, the first coming in the ninth inning of last Tuesday’s ‘free admission’ game against the Chicago White Sox at the Coliseum, followed by another outing the next day in a 14-inning victory over the White Sox.
Over the two outings, Trivino turned in four scoreless innings, allowing just four hits and a walk with six strikeouts while also earning his first big league win.
