HOUSTON – Liam Hendriks is tired of waiting for good things to happen. So he’s getting a little angry.
The Oakland middle reliever has a 6.75 ERA, which sounds horribly bloated unless you compare it to the 11.57 it was on April 17 after he’d started the season by giving up two earned runs in three of his first five appearances.
Since then his anger has begun to show itself – in a good way.
He came into Sunday with three consecutive scoreless appearances covering 3.1 innings. More than that, he’s become much more physically expressive on the mound after getting what he considers big outs.
