Letter: A’s owner could sell team, develop Coliseum property for profit

Re: “MLB chief reveals Oakland A’s want a taxpayer subsidy” (Editorial, Eastbaytimes.com, Oct. 8):

Thanks for the excellent editorial on the proposed sale of half the Coliseum property.

Now what if John Fisher (A’s majority owner), after buying the property, just moves and sells the A’s for a nice profit? And then develops the Coliseum property and makes several million dollars?

Fisher is a successful real estate developer and successful developers know how to take advantage of some schmuck city officials!

To the city of Oakland officials: Don’t be schmucks!
