ARLINGTON, Texas - Not all is wrong in Oakland’s bullpen, despite some recent lapses. The A’s have some strong performers, too, and none perhaps more important than left-hander Daniel Coulombe.
Coulombe goes a little under tha radar, but with Sean Doolittle out for an unknown time with a shoulder injury, he’s the lone lefty and he’s been faring well. He came into Saturday’s game in the eighth with men at the corners and two outs and got Shin-Soo Choo to ground out, and Coulombe is holding lefties to a .143 average going into Sunday’s game.
