Kyler Murray has made his decision.
It’s the one that everyone has been expecting for a few weeks now.
The A’s first-round draft pick will, indeed, not pursue professional baseball — at least not in the near future. Instead, he has decided to “firmly and fully” commit to playing football.
Good for him. Murray is, by all accounts, a solid young man who had a difficult decision to make — we should all wish him success on his journey.
Murray’s reneging on his promise to play baseball isn’t a reflection on the young man himself — it’s an indictment of Major League Baseball.
