Just as John Axford came off the disabled list, the A’s bullpen lost another reliever to an injury.
Right-hander Ryan Dull said he felt something “pop” in his right knee on the first pitch he threw to Mitch Moreland on Friday night. He was scheduled for an MRI Saturday afternoon.
“Every time I tried to push off after that, I had nothing,” he said Saturday. “It was painful trying to push off.”
Dull said he had a similar injury his freshman year at UNC-Asheville but “the pain wasn’t as severe as it is now.
