Khris Davis had become expendable with the Oakland A’s. The former slugger was now a drain on the A’s payroll, sent to the Rangers in a swap of bad contracts. Davis never found his way in Texas, being designated for assignment and released in June.
Nearly two months later, Davis is back. He has signed a minor league deal with the A’s and has been sent to their complex in Arizona, where he will get into game shape.
