ANAHEIM – Kendall Graveman’s grin was as wide as the Southern California freeway system, and that only meant one thing – he’s back.
Graveman will come off the 10-day disabled list Thursday and start the series finale against the Angels. He’s on the disabled list with a right shoulder strain, but a Monday throwing session proved to him and to the A’s that he’s ready to go.
“I feel ready to go,” Graveman said while not making his return official.
Manager Bob Melvin did that, saying that Graveman would take the place of Jharel Cotton on Thursday with Cotton and the rest of the starters each pushed back a day for the series in Houston that begins Friday.
