Kendall Graveman optioned back to Triple-A; Piscotty returns

BOSTON — Kendall Graveman’s return to the big leagues was short-lived.

Called up last Friday after two-game stint at Triple-A Nashville, Graveman was solid in a start against the New York Yankees. He allowed four runs, one earned, on three hits and two walks with four strikeouts to pick up his first win of the year. But with Stephen Piscotty ready to return from the bereavement list, Graveman was the roster casualty as he was sent back down to Nashville in order to make room.

Graveman is 1-5 with a 7.60 ERA over seven starts with the A’s this season.
