Jesse Hahn, Yonder Alonso hurt in A’s loss to Miami

Oakland’s feel-good vibe at home was tested severely Tuesday when the A’s starting pitcher and their All-Star candidate first baseman exited with injuries.

Jesse Hahn left in the third inning with a right triceps strain, and first baseman Yonder Alonso - who’d hit his 13th homer earlier in the game - was struck on the wrist by a pitch in the sixth and left after the inning. X-rays on the wrist were negative, the A’s announced.

Hahn, whose velocity dipped significantly in the third, gave up a season-high five earned runs in the A’s 11-9 loss to the Marlins.
