ARLINGTON, Texas - In his quest to right his season, Kendall Graveman is turning to lots of teammates from help.
Jonathan Lucroy had a long exchange of ideas with Graveman at the team hotel in Seattle and among other things, the catcher suggested using his changeup more. Then Trevor Cahill taught Graveman his changeup grip, and it seems to be working; the pitch was much improved Graveman’s last time out, and Graveman said he’s been closely watching Cahill, who has a similar arsenal. Outfielder Matt Joyce then stood in while Graveman threw his bullpen session in preparation for Wednesday’s start at Texas and gave the starter lots of feedback.
