OAKLAND — After taking two of three from the Cincinnati Reds, the A's open a three-game series with the Cleveland Indians on Friday night at the Coliseum.
Oakland will be without designated hitter Khris Davis for the second straight game, as he continues to recover from a left hip contusion suffered Sunday in Pittsburgh. Switch-hitter Kendrys Morales will fill in at DH and bat fourth in the order.
In his career, Morales is 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBI against Indians starter Cody Anderson. Marcus Semien has also homered off Anderson and is 1-for-2 against the right-hander in his career.
