Healy powers A’s to 3rd straight win over Yankees

With all the hubbub prized prospect Matt Chapman has earned this week, it would have been easy to forget about Ryon Healy.

But the A’s designated hitter made sure that didn’t happen.

Healy, just 15 months older than the buzzworthy Chapman, crushed two homeruns on a pristine Saturday afternoon at the Coliseum, giving the A’s a 5-2 victory over the Yankees and a shot at sweeping the league leaders in run differential.

After dramatic, one-run wins in each of the four-game series’ first two games, the A’s got Saturday’s victory behind the grit of starting pitcher Jesse Hahn, the talent of the bullpen and the power of Healy.
