Hahn solid in relief; Parmelee homers

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Seeking to bolster his chances to make the rotation, Reds top pitching prospect Amir Garrett delivered four hitless innings during a 3-1 victory over the A's on Monday at Goodyear Ballpark.

Garrett, who struck out three batters, had his only baserunner with one out in the fourth when Adam Rosales reached on first baseman Ryan Raburn's throwing error to Garrett as he covered first base on a grounder.

"My command was really good today," Garrett said. "In the bullpen, I was working on keeping everything down just to prepare for today.
