Hahn, A's offense struggle in loss to Mariners

The A's never got a runner past first base, as they concluded a 1-5 road trip in quiet fashion. Jesse Hahn took the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits over five innings.

Seattle won its fifth straight home series, while improving to 12-6 at Safeco, compared to 7-16 on the road. The loss kept the A's in fifth place in the American League West at 17-23, a game and a half back of the Mariners.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Segura keeps delivering: Mariners shortstop Jean Segura extended his career-best hitting streak to 16 games -- the longest active streak in the Majors -- with a two-run single up the middle that gave Seattle a 3-0 lead in the fifth.
