"Surprisingly felt a lot better today, so we're going to wait and see," Melvin said. "Like I said [Friday], there's an excellent chance we skip a start, but now there's probably a better chance that potentially he skips the DL. But we're not sure."
Gray, who began the season on the DL due to a strained right lat, was impressive in Thursday's rehab outing for Triple-A Nashville, issuing no walks with seven strikeouts over six scoreless innings.
