Sonny Gray finished one strikeout shy of his career-high and Khris Davis launched his 14th homer as the A's beat the Marlins Wednesday afternoon in Oakland.
The A's ace dominated Miami over seven innings. He allowed just three hits, one earned run and one walk while striking out 11.
Davis moved back ahead of Yonder Alonso for the team lead in home runs with his two-run shot in the first inning. Alonso was out of the lineup Wednesday after getting hit by a pitch on his wrist on Tuesday night.
