Graveman, Manaea get off to good start in A’s win

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Three games into the Cactus League season, the A’s finally had two firm members of the rotation at work, with No. 2 starter Kendall Graveman starting the A’s 5-4 win over Giants and Sean Manaea following him.

Graveman worked an inning and allowed a walk and a double, but he struck out Brandon Belt looking to end the inning.

“Some things I took away as positives, but I need to get ahead of hitters and not have a two-out walk,” Graveman said.

Sean Manaea, the team’s No. 3 starter, worked two innings and walked one and struck out two, including Buster Posey to end the third inning.
