Buster Posey and Yonder Alonso both saw plenty of action in Tuesday’s MLB All-Star Game in Miami.
Starting and playing in his fifth All-Star Game, Posey caught the first five innings of the game. The San Francisco Giants catcher went 0 for 1 with a walk before Yadier Molina replaced him to begin the sixth.
Making his All-Star debut, A’s first baseman Alonso replaced first baseman Justin Smoak in the bottom of the fourth and played the rest of the way, going 2 for 2 with a pair of singles for the winning American Leauge side and even picked up a stolen base in the top of the ninth after leading off the inning with a single.
