Game Thread #135: A’s at Blue Jays

The Oakland A’s won their series in Detroit, and now the road trip continues with a stop across the border to face the Toronto Blue Jays.

At 70-62, the Blue Jays trail Oakland by three games in the standings, with both clubs chasing a Wild Card spot.

Toronto’s offense ranks seventh in MLB in runs-per-game, and Sean Manaea will take the mound to face them. The Jays are putting out a lineup of all right-handed batters against the lefty pitcher, including several All-Star hitters. Manaea struggled in August, making five starts and completing just 20 innings, with 22 runs allowed including eight homers, and he has a tough matchup today.
