The Oakland A’s finally got their first off-day, after opening the 2021 season with 10 straight games against a pair of big-budget clubs (Astros and Dodgers)who each went to one of the last two World Series. Now the green-and-gold are back in action Monday, against the Arizona Diamondbacks, who finished in the NL West cellar last summer and are 4-6 so far this year.
The pitching slate features righty Chris Bassitt for the visiting A’s, and lefty Madison Bumgarner for the home D’Backs.
