The A’s may have abandoned the familiar green and gold for the Fourth of July-themed red and blue, but they didn’t forsake their comeback ways. Despite being out-hit and falling behind by two runs, the A’s hung a five-spot in the sixth inning en route to a 6-2 victory.
The biggest hit of the night was Jed Lowrie’s bases clearing double. Mark Canha and Chad Pinder also homered, as Chris Bassitt turned in a rather unusual line - 4.2 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 6 K.
