After a horrible homestand the A’s were given some hope today as Khris Davis was activated from the 10-day disabled list. Everyone was hoping that the A’s lost offense would return and eerily enough it did.
Khris Davis, started the A’s second inning rally -- hitting a double to leadoff the second inning in his first at-bat back with the club. A batter later Chad Pinder drew a walk on a six-pitch at-bat which knocked the Ray’s reliever Ryne Stanek, who started the game, out after just an inning and a third.
He was replaced by Ryan Yarbrough who gave up a double to Stephen Piscotty that plated both Davis and Pinder.
