The A’s dominated the Astros on Saturday afternoon defeating their division rivals 7-1 and, with the win the A’s moved into a tie atop the AL West. Mere weeks ago the A’s were back 11 games of the reigning World Champions, in fact they were also quite a few games behind the Seattle Mariners for the second wild card spot. Skip to almost two later and we now find them with a record of 74-49.
The A’s took an early lead in the first on an two RBI-double off the bat of Khris Davis and added on three more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning hitting hitting four more consecutive doubles.
