Fuld flies through the air to rob Correa

HOUSTON -- A's center fielder Sam Fuld saved starter Felix Doubront from a potentially big third inning on Friday, tracking Carlos Correa's drive, destined for the gap, and making a highlight-reel-worthy diving catch for the first out.

With Jose Altuve and George Springer on board with singles, Correa sent a laser off the bat at 106 mph, per Statcast™. Fuld ran to his left near the Astros' bullpen, flew into the air and dove at full extension to rob Correa of at least a double.

Altuve tagged up and went to third and eventually scored on Jed Lowrie's sacrifice fly to make it a 3-0 game, but that was the only run allowed thanks to Fuld, who received a hearty ovation from the Minute Maid Park crowd following the catch.
