OAKLAND – Michael Brady, a middle infielder during his time at Cal, has finally made it to the Major Leagues as a right-handed pitcher.
The A’s promoted Brady, who was a teammate of infielder Marcus Semien and outfielder Mark Canha while with the Golden Bears, Saturday morning. To make roster space, Oakland sent right-handed reliever Zach Neal to Triple-A Nashville.
The A’s have to make a move to get the 30-year-old Brady on the 40-man roster, and the club expects to announce that shortly.
