Eric Sogard and his specs began his big league career with the Oakland A's in 2010 and stayed with the club through the 2015 season.
The fans in Oakland embraced Sogard for his unique look. Standing at 5-foot-9, Sogard sports glasses on the field that look more like he's about to read a book at a coffee shop than step into the batter's box in front of thousands of fans.
For his look, A's fans rewarded Sogard with the nickname "Nerd Power." Over Players Weekend, Sogard, now with the Brewers, will proudly wear the nickname on the back of his jersey.
