As the A’s explore their free agency options, adding one (or more) starting pitchers is a definite possibility. Kendall Graveman and Sean Manaea are the only two starters who can confidently be written into the 2018 rotation right now. There are numerous in-house options who’ll have a chance to nail down jobs in the spring, but most are young and unproven. The A’s aren’t going to be in on high-priced stars such as Yu Darvish or Jake Arrieta, and they may address their bullpen before the rotation.
